Deleting a property removes it from active use in Affinity. Use this only when the property was created in error and should not remain in the property list.
Important: A property cannot be deleted if tenancy history has been recorded against it. If the property is no longer managed but its history must be retained, archive it instead.
Delete a property
- Open Properties → List Properties and select the required property.
- Select the Property tab.
- Select Summary from the secondary navigation.
- Open Options and select Delete.
- Enter the required Reason for deletion.
- Confirm the deletion.
The reason is retained in the audit history. The property is removed from active records and any property photos are removed as part of the deletion process.
If the property cannot be deleted
If Affinity reports that the property has tenancy history, do not remove that history simply to enable deletion. Use the archive option where appropriate so that the property and its historical information remain available.
The Delete option is only displayed where your permissions allow this action.
