Archiving removes a property from the active property list without permanently deleting its record. Use this when a property is no longer actively managed but its history should be retained.
Before you archive a property
A property can only be archived when:
- there is no active tenancy; and
- there are no open work orders.
If either condition applies, close or complete the relevant record before trying again.
Archive a property
- Open Properties → List Properties and select the required property.
- Select the Property tab.
- Select Options.
- Select Archive and confirm the action.
The property is removed from the active property list, while its existing information and history are retained.
View archived properties
- Open the Properties menu.
- Select Options.
- Select Manage Archived Properties.
Restore a property
- Open Manage Archived Properties.
- Find the property you want to restore.
- Select Restore Property and confirm.
The restored property returns to the active property list. A property cannot be restored if doing so would exceed your organisation's property limit.
Archiving compared with deleting
Archiving is reversible and keeps the property record available for later restoration. Deleting a property is a separate action and should only be used when the record is no longer required.
The actions available to you may vary depending on your permissions.
