Managing an RTB dispute can involve several stages, correspondence, supporting documents and decisions. Keeping this information together helps your team understand where a case stands and what still needs attention.
Affinity’s new RTB Disputes feature brings these details into the tenant record, alongside your existing RTB registrations.
Key highlights
- One place for each dispute — record the RTB case number, property, case owner, category, dispute types and summary.
- Flexible stage tracking — manage Mediation, Adjudication, Tribunal and Enforcement stages, with individual statuses, meeting dates, descriptions and outcomes. Multiple stages of the same type can be recorded.
- Notes and supporting documents — attach information to the overall dispute or a specific stage, making it easier to find the relevant material.
- Clear closure requirements — record an overall outcome and closed date, with checks to prevent a dispute being closed while stages remain unresolved.
- Printable summaries and case packs — generate a summary PDF or download a ZIP containing the summary and uploaded documents.
- Management reporting — find disputes by category, overall status, stage type, stage status and date, with CSV export for further analysis.
A clearer picture for your team
Case ownership and separate dispute and stage statuses help staff see who is responsible, what has progressed and what remains outstanding.
The RTB Disputes report also provides a view across tenants, helping your organisation review open cases without opening each tenant record individually.
Getting started
Open a tenant record and select RTB → Disputes. To report across tenants, go to Reports → Management → RTB Disputes.
Available actions depend on your user permissions. Contact your administrator if you need access.
Our RTB Disputes guides explain how to create a dispute, manage stages, add notes and documents, and prepare a case pack. See also the RTB Disputes report guide.
Affinity helps you record and manage the case; it does not submit disputes or documents to the RTB.
