Tenant Letter Templates provides reusable content for letters generated from tenant records.
Open Admin → Settings, then select Letter Templates under Tenant & Tenancy Settings.
Select the Tenant Letter Templates tab. The page separates Active Templates and Inactive Templates.
Adding a Template
- Select Add Tenant Letter Template.
- Enter a required Label that staff will recognise.
- Choose Letter Type and enter a Letter Code and Default Fee where needed.
- Set Include Header and Include Title, and enter Address Window Notice text if needed.
- Set Status to Active for an available template and enter the required Letter Content.
- Use the supported tags listed alongside the editor for tenant-specific information. Preserve tag spelling and punctuation.
- Select Add.
Letter Type controls the workflow in which the template is used. Only one active CREL Rent Review Notice template is permitted; edit or deactivate the existing one before activating another.
Editing or Retiring a Template
Open the label, choose Options → Edit, make changes and select Update. To retire an active template, choose Options → Delete and confirm. It moves to Inactive Templates. Open an inactive template and choose Options → Re-activate to restore availability.
Review a generated letter before issuing it, including tags, header, title and fee. Editing the template does not send a letter. For the operational workflow, see Letters and CREL Rent Reviews.
