Unlocking Account Numbers

Account numbers are normally locked against editing. You can unlock them for your current session when you need to correct an account number.

Open Admin → Settings, then select Account under General Settings.

1. Find the Account Numbers area.
2. Under Unlock A/C Numbers?, choose Unlock.
3. Select the Update button in that area.
4. Open the relevant record and make the required account-number change.
5. Return to Account Numbers, choose Lock and select Update when finished.

Unlocking applies to your current signed-in session. It does not unlock account numbers for other users and does not grant new permissions. The session setting ends when you sign out.
