Your permissions determine which options can be selected. An export may contain several rows for one record where it includes related items, such as notes, allocations or income sources.
Which Date Does the Range Use?
Choose Specify Date Range and set the Start Date and End Date. The range includes the selected boundary dates. The date checked depends on the export:

SMS Messages: Set the Range Explicitly
The current SMS export uses the Start Date and End Date even when All Data is selected. For SMS Messages, choose Specify Date Range and enter the full period you need. This avoids relying on the prefilled dates.
Common Selection Mistakes
- Use Tenancies with a range to find tenancy periods overlapping that range. Tenancies (Active) is a separate unmarked option.
- Tenant Balances, Rent Balances and Arrears List are not historical balance reports controlled by the export date fields.
- Property Inspection Analysis and Housing Group Inspection Analysis are separate from the dated inspection-record exports.
- A work order note added during the selected period is not necessarily included if its parent work order was submitted outside that period.
- To find policies expiring in a period, do not assume the insurance export date fields filter expiry dates; they filter policy start dates.
