The Funding area records Property and Acquisition (P&A) funding arrangements for a property. It brings together the agreement, the charges due under that agreement and the payments received.
Open the Funding area
- Open Properties → List Properties and select the required property.
- Select the Funding tab.
The page contains two related sections: Funding Schedules and Charges.
How property funding works
- A funding schedule records the Local Authority, agreement dates, charge frequency and funding value.
- Affinity uses an active schedule to create funding charges on the relevant dates.
- Payments received from the Local Authority are recorded as Local Authority transactions and allocated to the outstanding charges.
In short: funding schedule → funding charges → Local Authority payments.
Funding Schedules
A schedule controls the recurring charges for the funding arrangement. It includes the agreement period, review date, first and next charge dates, frequency, value, description and payment reference.
A funding schedule must be added before a manual charge can be recorded. Schedules may be active, suspended or expired.
See Managing Funding Schedules for instructions on adding, reviewing and managing schedules.
Funding Charges
Charges may be generated automatically from an active schedule or added manually. The Charges section shows the charge value, the amount received and whether the charge is fully paid, partially paid or unpaid.
Payments are recorded through Bank → Local Authority Transactions and allocated against outstanding charges.
See Managing Funding Charges for instructions on adding charges, allocating payments and reviewing payment progress.
Reports and exports
Funding charges and Local Authority transactions feed into the relevant Local Authority statements and bank reports. Funding charge data can also be included in an administrative data export.
The actions available in the Funding area depend on your permissions.
