Use the RTB area on a tenant record to manage registration details and track disputes, together with their supporting documents.
Accessing RTB records
Open the tenant record and select RTB. Choose Registrations or Disputes.
Registrations
Record the registration number, type, registration date and expiry date against the relevant tenancy. Registrations are marked Current or Previous. You can update details, record a renewal and attach supporting documents.
Select a registration number to open its details. Recording a registration or renewal in Affinity does not submit it to the RTB.
Disputes
Keep a dispute’s details, stages, notes and documents together against the tenant. Select a dispute identifier to open its details.
A dispute has an overall status of Open or Closed. Individual stages, such as Mediation or Adjudication, have their own statuses. You can record multiple stages of the same type, and more than one stage can remain unresolved at a time.
Registration numbers and dispute identifiers
The Registration Number identifies an RTB registration. It is separate from a dispute’s RTB case number.
Affinity automatically assigns each dispute an identifier such as RTB/D/2026/00002. This is separate from the external RTB case number, which you can enter when available.
