How do I return of a security deposit?

Security deposits are returned using the same process as any other tenant payment.

When recording the payment, select Return of Security Deposit as the Transaction Type.

Unlike Tenant Refund and Benefit Refund transactions, the payment is not allocated across the tenant's recurring charges. Instead, it is debited solely against the tenant's security deposit balance.
