In addition to using the Affinity dashboard and alert reports to notify you when safety checks, inspections, etc. need your attention, you can configure your Affinity account to send the relevant person in your organisation an email alert. Such alerts are available for the following activities:
- Safety checks
- Property insurance policies
- Energy certificates
- Property inspections
- Site inspections
The email alert will be sent to the housing officer associated with the property, or in the case of site inspections, the housing officer associated with the housing group. If you wish to use this feature then it's important to check the following:
- A housing officer has been set for properties and housing groups.
- Affinity user accounts associated with housing officers have an associated email address. You can set / update this via Admin -> Control Panel, User Accounts tab.
By default email alerts will NOT be issued. You will first be required to define the number of days before the expiry / inspection due date that you wish the email alert should be issued. This can be achieved via Admin -> Control Panel, Alert Settings. A value of 0 means that no email alerts will be issued.
