Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), labelled MFA Status in Affinity, adds an email verification step to sign-in. After entering your username and password, you enter a one-time code sent to the email address on your user account.
Before Enabling 2FA
Check that your Affinity profile contains a valid email address and that you can access that mailbox. Your organisation’s email system must allow verification emails from no-reply@tiltaffinity.com.
Enabling 2FA for Yourself
- Open My Profile from the menu at the top right. You can also open Admin → Settings → User Management → My Profile.
- In Profile Details, open the options menu and select Update Details.
- Turn on MFA Status.
- Select Update.
The next time you sign in, Affinity will ask for an email verification code.
Enabling 2FA for Another User
You need permission to manage users. The MFA Status control is shown when editing an active user.
- Open Admin → Settings, then select Users under User Management.
- Find and open the user’s account.
- Open the user’s edit form and check their email address.
- Turn on MFA Status.
- Select Update User.
Signing In with 2FA
- Enter your username and password on the sign-in page.
- On Check your email, check the masked email address shown and open the verification email.
- Enter the six-digit One-time code.
- Select Continue.
The screen shows how long the code is valid. Codes are single-use. If you request another code, use the latest email.
If a Code Does Not Arrive or Has Expired
- Check your junk or spam folder and allow time for delivery.
- Use Send another code when you need a replacement. Follow any waiting period or temporary lock message shown on screen.
- Select Cancel and return to sign in if you need to restart sign-in.
- If the address is incorrect or you cannot access the mailbox, contact your Affinity administrator so they can check your user details.
- If your organisation is blocking the messages, ask your IT team to allow mail from no-reply@tiltaffinity.com.
Keep 2FA enabled as part of your organisation’s access controls. Contact your administrator or Affinity Support if you cannot complete sign-in.
