Tenant Transactions are payments received from, and paid to a tenant. Examples of such payments received from a tenant are rent collection, the payment of fees / fines, and the lodgement of a security deposit. An example of payment made to a tenant is the return of a security deposit when the tenant vacates the property. To access Tenant Transactions select "Tenant Transactions" from "Bank" in the main menu.
You will initially be requested to select a tenant account instance, i.e. the tenant account against which the receipt or payment is to be recorded. This can be achieved in two ways:
- Select the account number from the drop down list.
- In the text box to the right of the drop down list start typing the account number. When the full account number appears in the drop down list press the return key on your keyboard.
The selection of a tenant account will result in the Tenant Transactions screen being displayed. This screen consists of three tabs; Receipts (Incoming), Payments (Outgoing) and Credits.
